About the author

David Lorenzo-Cardiel (Spain, European Union, 1993) is a natural philosopher, writer, literary critic and cultural journalist.

His columns and articles reach tens of thousands of readers daily through some of the main media in Spanish and other languages, including The Philosophical Salon, The Times Literary Supplement, Revista de Occidente, El Ciervo, The Hong Kong Review of Books, Elemmental and El Imparcial. He is also a regular literary critic for leading newspapers and magazines.

On the radio he has hosted the podcasts Grageas Filosóficas and Los ingenios de Dédalo on Radio Afcar, with more than 100,000 listeners since the first season in 2019.

Tierra de nadie and Hablar Despacio are two of his publications best known to the general public. Both works have been present at book fairs such as Guadalajara (Mexico) and Madrid (Spain), receiving an outstanding reception among readers around the world.

Since 2025, he has collaborated as a literary critic specialising in Spanish literature for the celebrated British publication The Times Literary Supplement, the most important cultural reference magazine in the English-speaking world, which has featured authors such as Virginia Woolf and T.S. Eliot throughout its century-long history.

His literature and his informative work stand out for their ability to combine reflection and thought from a philosophical and critical perspective.

David Lorenzo-Cardiel writes for prestigious medium such as Ethic, The Philosophical Salon, The Hong Kong Review of Books, El Ciervo, Revista de Occidente, Elemmental and El Imparcial, among others. The author covers the genres of columnism, literary criticism and specialized articles about philosophy, culture and science.

As a lecturer, he gives conferences, master classes and courses both at universities and cultural institutions with very diverse target audiences, from highly specialized to the public in general. His talks stand out for their pleasant, didactic and reflective tone capable of arousing a high degree of interest and motivation in his audience.
