Musings

ORIGINAL TITLE: HABLAR DESPACIO

The predecessor of Through Equidistance (Tierra de nadie), although published a year after his poetic debut, the book brings together pieces from the author’s early youth.

The collection of poems has been chosen by many reading clubs in Spain and abroad. The work is part of the catalog of numerous public and private institutions, library catalogs, universities and cultural entertainment programs.

– Praises –

«A book of poetry in its purest form, without concessions to the public. (…) An introspection in which each word is at the service of the investigation of the self».
Ana Alcolea, writer.

«David Lorenzo-Cardiel has written one of those moving collections of poems that assault our hearts: through the fog and the passage of time, life becomes sensitivity, thought, emotion and symbol. (…) [David Lorenzo-Cardiel] is a poet of rest and at the same time of a rare intensity: his voice rises beyond the melancholy and the brilliance of the image to embrace beauty, the passion for existence and myth».
Antón Castro, Heraldo de Aragón.

«[Hablar Despacio] achieves, with beautiful and concrete language, a stimulus to reflect on both everyday and deep and transcendent topics».
José Antonio Prades, writer.

«A man looks at his reflection in a mirror and sees a wolf in wolf’s skin. In these verses of reaffirmation, David Lorenzo-Cardiel speaks slowly with the heroes of this and other times, and analyzes the tiny from a perspective that expands to encompass the eternal».
Pilar Adón, writer.
